The “Fundación por la Investigación Docencia e Innovación en Seguridad del Paciente” * (FIDISP) is a private non-profit organization located in Spain, established in 2012, dedicated to enhancing patient safety in the healthcare sector. Its mission is to promote research, culture, and innovation in practices that ensure patient safety. FIDISP has the following lines of work:
RESEARCH AND INNOVATION
FIDISP conducts and promotes scientific studies aimed at identifying and mitigating risks in healthcare delivery. It collaborates with universities, hospitals, research centers, and other organizations to develop evidence-based solutions. FIDISP drives innovative projects that incorporate new technologies and methodologies into clinical practice to enhance patient safety.
TEACHING AND TRAINING
The foundation organizes courses, workshops, and seminars for healthcare professionals to improve their skills in patient safety and risk management. It also offers continuous training programs and specific certifications. FIDISP has trained thousands of healthcare professionals through its educational programs, significantly enhancing the safety culture in participating institutions.
Through the FIDISP program in evaluation and diagnosis, our foundation helps healthcare organizations design their own strategies for quality improvement and patient safety promotion.
